JR Shinagawa Station Is Going 3D!

From May 23rd to June 30, 2019, the JR Shinagawa Station will be equipped with the “3D Phantom”, a holographic display that projects a 3D image within a glass rectangular box. The purpose is to allow for a new generation of advertising and add more digital media into the station, with the hopes that it will attract more advertisers.

Here is a glimpse at what it looks like:

For now, the images may seem a bit tame, but you can definitely see the potential. My hopes is that Shonen Jump becomes a user of this 3D advertising, so we can see our favorite manga characters come to life inside of Shinagawa Station!
