Yoyogi Animation Academy is the oldest animation school in Japan, and it seems like they are always trying to add new things to their curriculum as both animation and online content continue to grow. And now, they want to teach you how to be a YouTuber.

Beginning in 2020, you can enroll in the “YouTuber” course in Tokyo, Japan. Doesn’t that sound amazing?! You would be going to school, to become a YouTuber, and you would be in one of the coolest cities in the world. Not a bad reason to stay in school.

Yoyogi Animation Academy announced this addition to their school, as the world of “YouTubers” and “V-Tubers” has exploded, and these positions have become real jobs with real pay. You will learn how to shoot, edit, and distribute your content, as well as learn how to set characters and plan your videos. Of course, you will also get voice lessons, so that you can provide your best performance.

In the second year (because you can’t learn everything in one year?!), you will study character movements and poses, dance, and three-dimensional movements, as well as speaking skills and vocals.

So what are you waiting for? Maybe you can become the next YouTube sensation. But if you don’t, then at least you have a good excuse to spend two years in Tokyo, right?
