Hello everyone!

As we close out this year, we wanted to tell you about some of the great things we did this fall. One of the coolest things we got to do was visit the amazing MORI Building Digital Art Museum in Tokyo, Japan!

For those of you that aren’t familiar with it, the MORI Digital Art Museum is the world’s first digital art museum, and it is really so much more than your regular museum. It has 10,000 sq. meters of space and the artwork is three-dimensional, so it is as if you become part of the art itself. The art found in this museum is created via 520 computers and 470 projectors! I’m sure that beats any home theater system you have ever seen. And one of the coolest aspects of the museum is that it is constantly changing throughout the day, so if you leave a room and come back thirty-minutes later, it may look totally different than before! This means you should be sure to at least walk through the museum at least twice, to experience this cool change.

Oh, and if that weren’t enough, the artwork itself moves across the museum! Yeah, you will see the beautiful designs walking along the walls into different areas of the museum. It almost feels like you have fallen into a Ghibli movie or if you are inside of an anime, as you see the designs dance next to you and follow you from room to room.

And unlike other museums, the MORI Digital Art Museum is very kid-friendly, as they actually want you to climb on top of the art. There are slides with watermelons, a bouncing trampoline in space, a light climbing area, and so much more! Honestly, I felt like a kid when I was running around trying to experience everything this museum has to offer. And if you get tired of all of the excitement, then just head to the tea house located inside of the museum and enjoy a nice hot cup of tea!

This is definitely a must-see if you are in Tokyo, but make sure to reserve your tickets early since they tend to sell-out very quickly. The museum is located in Odaiba at Palette Town, and is open on Weekdays from 10:00-19:00 and Saturday, Sundays, and Holidays from 10:00-21:00. Tickets cost 3,200 yen (about $30 US Dollars), but the price is well-worth the experience.
