Beginning on June 29, 2018, Akihabara’s Toranoana Store will hold a FREE Exhibit of Manga Artists Ogino Atsuki’s illustrations. As you can see, most of his work is “not safe for work”, so if you’re reading this on your work computer you might want to close your office door.
Toranoana holds exhibits of manga artists’ works on a periodic basis, and it is a great way for folks to get to see some of the art from their favorite artists. This Ogino-san exhibition is actually an encore from last year’s exhibition, since it was super popular last year. I wonder why…
During this event, you can purchase some of Ogino-san’s original works, special brochures, and plenty of event-only illustrations. So if you weren’t able to make the last art exhibition, then this is your chance to buy your favorite piece.
As most manga and anime lovers know, this style of art is very popular in Japan. So though it may seem a bit shocking in America, it is common to see people reading this type of manga on many Japanese trains. In any event, you can’t deny that Ogino-san is a skilled artist.
The Free Exhibit will be at the Akihabara Toranoana Store, Tokyo Kakuda Building 4F in Chiyoda-ku, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo 3rd floor. AND ITS FREE!
