Today, people in Japan were actually running towards Godzilla, as a new “Shin Godzilla” statute made its first appearance in front of the Hibiya Chanter in Yurakucho, Tokyo. This Godzilla is based on the one featured in the 2016 “Shin Godzilla” movie, and stands almost 10 feet! Now this square is named “Hibiya Godzilla Square”, because you really don’t want to make Godzilla mad.
Of course, this isn’t the first Godzilla to tower over people in Hibiya Chanter Square, as a statute of the Heisei-era Godzilla was previously on display here too. But don’t worry, the old Godzilla statute has been moved inside of Toho Cinemas Hibiya, and will be displayed beginning on March 29, 2018.
But if two Godzilla statutes aren’t enough for you, then you need to stop by the Hotel Gracery Shinjuku, located in Shinjuku, Tokyo. Here you will see a full-scale Godzilla head towering over the buildings, and it looks awesome! But that’s not all, as the hotel actually has a room with a full Godzilla theme, so you can enjoy sweet dreams with this Japanese icon.
I don’t think you can find any other city with this many Godzillas!
See you soon!
