Pokémon Japan Championships 2026!

Pokémon’s 30th anniversary celebration went into overdrive at PJCS2026, Japan’s biggest Pokémon tournament ever. More than 21,000 fans packed Pacifico Yokohama—more than double last year’s crowd—to watch epic battles across Pokémon Scarlet & Violet, the Pokémon Trading Card Game, Pokémon GO, and Pokémon Unite. With a record-breaking turnout and tickets to the Pokémon World Championships 2026 in San Francisco on the line, the competition was fiercer than a Hyper Beam.

With Pokémon Champions making its debut as the featured title, PJCS2026 crowned its very first champions: Hideo Uesugi in the Junior Division, Ryusei Ono in the Senior Division, and Hiroshi Onishi in the Master Division. Now, these newly crowned trainers are setting their sights on the ultimate challenge—the Pokémon World Championships 2026 in San Francisco, where they’ll take on the world’s best in pursuit of global glory.

Ryusei Ono was quoted as saying: “I want to say thank you to Aerodactyl for all its help. I’m a third-year middle school student, so I’m busy with studying, but I’ve decided to do my best in “Pokémon WCS2026″ as well.”

Card Divsion

The Pokémon Trading Card Game finals delivered plenty of big plays and clutch moments. Araki Yuta captured the Junior League title with a decisive Dragapult ex finish, while Morita Jin battled through a nail-biting Senior League showdown to claim victory. In the Master League, Otake Toshiyuki powered to the championship with a standout deck built around Ogerpon Green Mask ex, proving that smart strategy is every bit as important as powerful cards.

Pokémon Go

The Pokémon GO championship came down to an epic clash between Taichi Shimokawa and Kazuma Suwa. What started with Diggersby facing off against Fearow turned into a fierce battle of strategy and timing, ending with a game-winning performance from Tinkaton. With the final knockout secured, Shimokawa claimed the title of Japan’s top Pokémon GO Trainer and punched his ticket to the world stage.

Taichi said: “I’m so happy that I was able to win today with Pidgeot, who has been with me ever since I started playing in the Battle League. I’ll work hard to cure my crybaby tendencies and win the Pokémon World Championships 2026 so that I can give an interview there. Please cheer me on!”
