The New Ghibli Park is set to open on November 1, 2022, and we have a quick view of all of the great things you will find there. Get ready to be immersed in the world of Studio Ghibli!
As you can see, there are going to be plenty of beautiful things to see at Ghibli Park. On November 1, 2022, there will be 3 areas for people to enjoy:
- Dondoko Forest
- Ghibli’s Grand Warehouse
- Hill of Youth
Dondoko Forest

The first area will be Dondoko’s forest, which is where you will find Mei and Satsuki’s house from My Neighbor Totoro. You will be able to walk around their house, and experience all of the fun scenes from the movie, including the bath house.
Ghibli’s Grand Warehouse

Next, there is Ghibli’s Grand Warehouse, which is where you will find many exhibits related to the people and things from Studio Ghibli movies. For example, there is an area dedicated to the Cat Bus from My Neighbor Totoro, and it looks like kids will be able to climb inside. The artist’s depiction of this area makes it seem like it is very spacious and amazingly colorful.
Hill of Youth

The third area that you will be able to experience is the Hill of Youth. As you can see from the image above, the main section here is the World Emporium (antique shop) from the movie “Whisper of the Heart”. My guess is that you will be able to find all of the wonderful statutes, clocks, and mysterious trinkets that you see in the movie.
There are also two additional areas at Ghibli Park, but these will not be open until a later date:
- Mononoke Village
- Valley of Witches
Mononoke Village

In Mononoke Village, you are stepping into the world of Princess Mononoke. You are transported into the grassy village, where kids will be able to climb and play on some of the characters from the movie. Such as the demons worms and Nago no Kami (Nago the Guardian) the boar god.
Valley of Witches

Finally, there is the Valley of the Witches, an area that is dedicated to all of the wonderful witches from the Ghibli universe. You will see a teacup ride that is painted in the designs from Kiki’s Delivery Service, including Jiji the black cat and her flying broom. Also, there will be a life size Howl’s Moving Castle from the movie, and we are hoping that people will be able to explore all of the wonders inside.
