On February 1, 2017, Japanese mobile phone company “Au” and Transformers started the “au x Transformers” project. The project hopes to bring mobile phones which transform into Transformers!

There will be three types of phones:

• “Infobar Optimus Prime”
• “Infobar Megatron”
• “Infobar Bumblebee”

The phones will have Bluetooth and will come with a mini-phone while in Transformers mode.

The project is currently looking for supporters on the crowd-funding site Makuake, and has currently raised 1.5 Million yen ($13,248 US Dollars). There are two support levels:

• 5,400 yen ($47)–which comes with “Infobar Optimus Prime” and a display stand
• 16,200 yen ($143)–which comes with all three Transformer bodies, a display stand, and special sleeve.
