Yesterday was the last day of this year’s Niconico Chokaigi 2016, which was held at Makuhari Messe in Chiba Prefecture. The event was from April 29 to April 30, and brought more than 152,000 attendees!
Niconico is a video sharing website in Japan, and is Japan’s largest social video website with over 53 Million registered users. Niconico’s popularity comes from its distinct feature, which allows people to comment on a video as it is being played in real-time.

Niconico Chokaigi 2016 included games, anime, Vocaloid, dance, cosplay, Kabuki, and more! Ihad the opportunity to see it with my own eyes, and it was amazing! Here are some of the highlights.
There was Kabuki that featured popular Kabuki actor, Nakamura Shidou, and worldwide-sensation Hatsune Miku.
Japanese Sword-makers:
Many very cool Itasha—Japanese cars that have been decorated with anime, manga, or video game characters.
